Waklevören: Tiden lager alle sår

The Norwegian supergroup Waklevören returns with a thrash 'flash back'!
'Tiden lager alle sår' is a crash into the past..splattered with modern Oslo soot.
In it's latest incarnation, this band has morphed into a slaying sonic monster
..a lo-fi mean machine on a mission- it's back and it's blacker than ever.

'Bløder i kamp' begins this "road trip" of a release..it's got the distinct hum of a
well-tuned v8 vintage hearse with the living dead at the wheel..driving the pain of
dredged up dark emotions as they spill out of open caskets..oozing black corpse
blood all over this track. The addictive menacing black n' roll groove of
this song is riveting..guitars wickedly luring me right into the dark eye of their
storm. Overall, this is my favorite of the new tracks..maybe because of
it's haunting yet deadly atmosphere.

'Grav uten navn' is a short yet powerful old school thrash number with a killer
retro sound to the instrumentation. It feels and sounds like a fatal wound
from long ago..a knife still stuck in a heart, where by choice it will remain.
Gorgon's one-of-a-kind vox is tortured perfection exuding an old unthawed rage
revisited..suspended in time. 'Advarsel' is an ancient battlecry to a seemingly
neverending war with a force whose time has come. An army of blackened souls
slam the enemy into a mighty wall of thrash upon which it gets hammered into
oblivion.

Gorgon does Per Bergersen proud on 'Glitrer ett lys'!!..the electrifying
jolt of this version is indescribable so you're just going to have to order this mcd
right now and hear it for yourselves. He sounds like an inverted cross between
himself, the late Mr. Bergersen and Roky Erikson..which is unbeatable.
All I can say to the amazing Waklevoren is- thrash on you crazy black diamond!
You outshine them all on this track!! This so rocks, I can only imagine the evil
grin this must have put on the face of the late genius Mr. Bergersen..wherever he
may be listening from..Jaaaaaaaaa! it is that good to my ears.

'Tiden lager alle sår' is yet another blackened soul-baring gem, a slow excruciating
dirge with many 'Red Harvest' sound elements coming through loud and clear..a
perfect outro to this incredible release.

'Down and dirty' production runs like a cold black river through these tracks,
which will surely be something of a thrill to most thrash fiends.
