Onslaught: Killing Peace
by ©Scarlet Metal
& www.whoresofchaos.com
Fire up the old Bentley for a midnight ride through graveyards of the
English
countryside with
Onslaught- heavvvy metal! Killing Peace is an old school journey in a
vintage thrashmobile, so leave the tikes to fiddle
with their fiberglass and crank this up instead.
And remember they're
just warming up after over a decade of hibernation, what's next is
likely to blow the knickers off the likes of the trendnippers. A thick
lashing guitar sound compliments
Sy Keeler's vocals- which steal
the show on this release, ranging from classic heavy metal to thrash
snarling to death growls. Production enhances the density of the solid
heavy metal undertones and excellent battery, although it perhaps
sanitizes the thrash itself a bit but not enough to keep me away. Thrash
is both a many splendored and a many flavored thing and this particular
British variety is a must have. Be sure to add this release to your
metal rotation diet..love it and leave it fast is the thing to do with
thrash because it always comes around again.
Highly recommended to listeners of both heavy metal and thrash
For fans of Motörhead, Slayer, Metallica, Exodus, Megadeth, Testament,
etc.
